hi guys I'm new here, but was wondering how i go about finding out about my husbands history. He's whole family is from Scotland He was the only one born in Australia is brother in Scotland!
I would like to go back as far as i can for a present for him so I'm trying to do this as hush hush as i can! Our children would benefit from it as well. What websites do you guys recommend i have little information so i'm sort confused on where to start! thanks in advance Mel

Hi Mel
I would suggest scotlandspeople.gov.uk as the best site for Scottish family history but privacy laws prevent them releasing births beefore about 1910 or marriages before about 1930 so probably any information after those dates will have to come from your husband or his immediate family.
